A nasal cannula for oxygen is a medical device used to deliver oxygen or increase airflow to a patient or individual who needs respiratory assistance. This device consists of a lightweight tube with two prongs at one end that are placed in the nostrils, delivering a mixture of air and oxygen.

Nasal cannula specifications for oxygen:

Cannulas are compatible with oxygen concentrators and oxygen cylinders.
A tube used to deliver oxygen to a patient through the nose.
The lightweight cannula has two holes for placement in each nostril.
Equipped with a clip to connect the two cannula ends behind the user's head, to hold the two air infusion nozzles in place.
The cannula outlet to the oxygen generator has been reinforced to ensure better stability of the cannula in the device.

How to use a nasal cannula for oxygen

Oxygen nasal cannulas are placed on the patient's face as follows:

Cleaning the nostrils with warm water.
Connect the nasal cannula to the oxygen tube or oxygen concentrator.
Place the ends of the nasal cannula into the nostrils.
Hold the cannula securely in place.

Precautions when using nasal cannula for oxygen

Here are some precautions to take when using a nasal cannula for oxygen:

The nasal cannula should be cleaned daily with warm water and soap.
The nasal cannula should be changed every two weeks.
The nasal cannula should not be used if it is damaged or torn.
