Aquasil is an antimicrobial bandage used to treat severe wounds and wounds that are difficult to treat and are infected or prone to infection. The bandage contains hydrofiber technology and silver filament technology that work together to provide effective control of vital plaque inside the bandage.

Antimicrobial activity persists in the bandage for up to 7 days and prevents the re-formation of microbes.

The use of aquasil dressings

Aquacell dressings are applied to the wound by simply placing them over the wound and leaving them in place until they become wet. The bandage can be changed as needed, but usually it is changed every one or two days.

Contraindications for use

The aquasil bandage should not be used if the patient is allergic to any of the components of the bandage.
